Born and brought up in south-east London, Gordon R Clarke has lived and worked on five continents, which creates the backdrop for his writing. He now spends his time mainly in Thailand and Greece, or on-site with clients.

During his career, he has published three technical books, many articles on behavioural economics, payment technology, e-commerce and cryptocurrencies and a number of philosophical papers on science and religion. Technology and travel inspired his early writing and, over the years, he has frequently explored his experiences in short stories and poetry.
